ThokBazaar ("we", "us", "our") is a wholesale ordering app for shopkeepers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ThokBazaar, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password (managed securely by Firebase Authentication — we never see your raw password).
- Profile information: your name and your dukaan (store) name, which you provide when registering.
- Order activity: the products you add to your order sheet and the order requests you submit through the app.
- On-device data: your Khata (supplier credit ledger) and restock reminders are stored only on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
We do not collect your location, and ThokBazaar does not process any payments.
How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and dukaan profile.
- To let you browse the catalogue and submit wholesale order requests.
- To contact you about your order requests and provide support.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
How your information is stored
Your account is managed by Firebase Authentication and your profile, order sheet, and order requests are stored in Google Cloud Firestore, both provided by Google. Access is restricted by security rules so that you can only read and write your own data.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers that run the app (Google Firebase) and where required by law.
Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Account → Delete account), or by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your sign-in credentials, your profile, and your order-request records. On-device data (Khata and reminders) is removed when you delete the account, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. See our Account & Data Deletion page for details.
Children
ThokBazaar is a business app intended for shopkeepers and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
